As a native of Williamsburg, VA, I am a country boy at heart. Growing up I spent Saturdays fishing and doing anything I could outdoors. After graduating high school I attended Norfolk State University where I majored in Biology and met my beautiful wife, Brennan.

I get asked all of the time, “How did somebody who has a college degree in biology decide to become a private chef?” Cooking and science are direct parallels to me. In the simplest form cooking IS science! Those delicious grill marks on a steak, SCIENCE!  My love for cooking developed at a young age;  spending time in the kitchen with my mom and grandmother, helping cook Sunday dinners, and many other meals. Looking to further develop my culinary skills, I studied classical cooking at Tidewater Community College in Norfolk, VA. Taking the techniques that I learned in culinary school, I started developing custom dining experiences that are enjoyed without leaving the comforts of home.

I offer personal chef services, such as private dinner parties and small event catering,  weekly meal prep, and virtual cooking experiences. I love to experiment with new recipes, and share the love and passion that I have for food with others. Supporting local and small businesses is important to me, as they are the backbone to a strong community. I also believe in using fresh and local ingredients in my cooking, bringing a true authenticity to the food I prepare.

I believe in quality and excellence through simplicity in the kitchen, making meals using high quality ingredients that are both healthy and delicious. One of the things that I love most about providing custom dining experiences is  the way that food brings people together, and those dining experiences being the backdrop for memories being created that will last a lifetime.
